Day 5

Again a day comes to an end – our “recreation day”. Today we behaved like normal tourists. Watching the picket, sightseeing tour, swimming in the sea, visiting the Acropolis, shopping for souvenirs, stopping at the restaurants, enjoying fine frozen yogurts, visiting the hairdresser, strolling through the alleys,… Everyone put together his program as he wanted. We went off in groups and everyone experienced the day as it suited him. I realized today how many tourists are really wandering around in this city. The tourist attractions were teeming with visitors from abroad. I must say, I learned today to appreciate the places where we usually go. They may be a bit out of the way and maybe not as historic, but you get to interact with the people of Athens better.
